This workshop brang together three critical groups (resource providers, end-users and technology providers) within the European production infrastructure.

The conference was the occasion to showcase the diversity of the user community within the European Grid Infrastructure through daily plenaries, oral presentations, poster sessions and co-located workshops. The event aimed to help all members of the EGI community, from end-users to application developers, operations staff and technology providers, to share their knowledge and build collaborations. The programme also included numerous networking and social events and opportunities to ‘meet the experts’.
France Grilles International Advisory Committee (IAC) meets once a year to evaluate the activities of the French National Grid Initiative (NGI). The committee gathers international experts in the field of e-infrastructures and research on grids and HPC.

The “EGI Technical Forum” was held in central Amsterdam at Beurs van Berlage between 14-17th September 2010 in partnership with the BiG Grid (Dutch NGI) project.
EGI.eu was created on 8 February 2010 to coordinate and maintain a sustainable pan-European infrastructure to support European research communities and their international collaborators. Its work builds on previous EU-funded projects which nurtured this goal, from the initial concept of a scalable, federated, distributed computing system. France Grilles as the French National Grid Intiative takes part in EGI.eu.
